Eligibility Criteria for Executive Positions (2024-2027 Term):
- It is desirable that candidates have achieved professional status (PMP preferred).
- Young project management professionals are encouraged to apply.
- Membership in good standing of both PMI and PMI South Africa Chapter is mandatory.
- All volunteers and nominees must abide by PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
- Project, program, and portfolio management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of PMI/Chapter activities and functioning is recommended.
- Leadership and/or management experience is recommended.
- Planning knowledge and experience is recommended.

Requirements:
- Professional Status: Must have professional status (PMP desirable) and be eligible for registration as a director in South Africa.
- Membership: While not required at the nomination stage, membership in both PMI and PMI South Africa Chapter is necessary to serve as a Director.
- Ethics: Adherence to PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct is mandatory.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience as an active director.
- Experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
- Knowledge of PMI activities and functioning, executive leadership, strategic planning, board/governance, senior management, and financial literacy.
- Participation in the Chapter's Director Development Program is preferred.

About the Role:
The elected volunteer will be responsible for overseeing the Chapter and the Board. The President shall direct the activities of other Board members in accordance with the Chapter bylaws.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Direct the Chapter's strategic goals, achieve the Chapter's vision, mission, and objectives, and ensure the Board works together as a team.
- Representation: Represent the Chapter at public events and act as a liaison between the Chapter and PMI.
- Governance: Ensure the Chapter's charter renewal, legal and ethical compliance, and adherence to PMI policies and guidelines.
- Operations: Preside over Board meetings, oversee Chapter business, and ensure prudent disbursement of Chapter funds.

About the Role:
The elected volunteer will serve as the successor to the President and assist the President with managing the Chapter. In the President's absence, this SVP will assume the role of Chapter President. The SVP will also develop and implement a succession and transition plan and may assume the role of President the following year.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead VPs and their Portfolios, ensuring alignment with chapter strategic goals and fostering unity.
- Support: Support Chapter initiatives and advise the President on Portfolio needs.
- Representation: Represent the President at events when necessary.
- Collaboration: Meet with the President monthly to strategize and discuss Portfolios.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other assignments deemed necessary by the President for the efficient running of the Chapter.

About the Role:
The elected volunteer is responsible for managing the finance portfolio and ensuring that all financial records are maintained and presented in accordance with chapter bylaws.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Prepare and maintain financial records of all PMI South Africa Chapter funds.
- Develop an annual operating budget.
- Prepare financial reports on the Chapter's activities and financial status.
- Manage financial arrangements for meetings and events.
- Ensure compliance with South African regulations.
- Support a smooth transition of financial records to the successor.
- Provide input into Chapter governance documents.
Assist with the PMF Scorecard.
- Deputy Training: Identify and train a deputy to assist with portfolio responsibilities and ensure succession planning.

About the Role:
This executive position is responsible for managing all chapter internal and external communications.

- Communication Strategy: Establish a chapter communication strategy, annual plan, budget, and schedule.

About the Role:
The elected volunteer will be responsible for coordinating the activities of Authorized Training Partners (ATPs) within the Chapter and working with other PMI Chapter Leaders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- ATP Coordination: Coordinate the work of ATPs in the Chapter with respect to PMI activities.
- Engagement: Advise and engage ATPs on Chapter activities, seeking buy-in and promoting opportunities for profit-sharing.
- MOU Compliance: Ensure ATPs fully meet their obligations under signed MOUs.
- Global Collaboration: Work strategically with ATPs globally that are of interest to the Chapter.
- ATP Coordinator Coordination: Coordinate the activities of Chapter ATP Coordinators.
- DVP ATP Outreach Support: Support the DVP ATP Outreach with all aspects of PMI Engagement and duties.
- Presidential Representation: Receive instructions and advice from the President of the Chapter and represent the President at PMI activities and events nationally, regionally, and internationally.
- ATP Coordination: Coordinate the activities of Chapter ATPs in the Chapter, Region, and beyond. Coordinate Chapter DVP & ATP Coordinators.
- Program Development: Work with ATPs to develop program content for webinars, symposia, events, talks, boot camps, and meetings.
- Advice: Advise the President of the Chapter on areas to improve ATP/Chapter/PMI relations.

The Vice President - Early Career Professionals is responsible for growing the student club portfolio in South Africa. This includes developing and implementing a business development strategy, building relationships with university and corporate clients, and providing support to student clubs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Develop and implement a business development strategy to identify new markets, develop sales plans, and manage the sales process.

About the Role:
The VP of Cluster Engagement is an elected volunteer responsible for leading the Cluster Engagement Portfolio. This role reports directly to the President of the PMI South Africa Chapter.
