Project Management Summit 2022

AI and the Future of Project Management Practices

  Event 001

How the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will change the world of project management

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are rapidly developing, and are expected to impact the field of project management on multiple levels; however, there remains a high level of uncertainty regarding the effect that AI might have on project management practices. Studies show that by 2030, 80 percent of project management tasks, such as data collection, reporting, and predictive analysis, will be carried out by AI in a consistent and efficient manner.

What will this mean for project managers around the world, and how can the future project manager embrace this technological advantage for greater project success?

Empowering project managers to adapt to the new technology of artificial intelligence, the forthcoming PMI-SA summit will discuss how AI will reinvent the project world and allow project managers to focus on people. Filled with insights and examples from tech providers and project experts, our speakers will provide an invaluable insight for PMO leaders, change executives, project managers, programme managers, and portfolio managers. Anyone who is part of the global community of change and project leadership needs to accept and understand the fast-approaching AI technologies.

Given the AI possibilities for project management in this new era of complex environmental events, this Special Summit therefore invites scholars, industry-practitioners, and all those directly or indirectly involved in AI research to submit their papers for an opportunity to share insights that impact project management practices. We look forward to several topics that provide substantial theoretical, managerial, and social contributions from a project management perspective. Preference will be given to studies using empirical approaches.
